My trim quit working you can here the pump but it might need hydraulic fluid did notice oil in water what should i try? Submitted by: thor
The first thing to do is check the trim fluid level.
Power Tilt and Trim
I have a Bravo 2 outdrive that from time to time will not go down after it has been raised. Motor is working but wont go down unless I stand on it. Sometimes after the boat is under way I can get the drive to go down by continuing to press the down button on the shifter. I have also noticed that after I have the drive lifed in the up position after a few hours it will go down on its own without me operating the system. Any recommendations? Submitted by: Jim
If the trim motor is working in both directions there is a problem with the pump. Do you have the drive serial number?
Older CMC tilt unit
I have three older CMCs, very heavy duty, tilt / trim units that need various repairs. I contacted CMC with the serial numbers and they told the parts for these were discontinued 4 years ago. Do you repair these? or is it possible to retrofit them with different motors and pumps? Submitted by: Thomas
