Normally there is a tag or the numbers stamped into the hydraulic cylinder. If you can’t find any identification, send us pictures and the dimensions of the rod and the cylinder barrel.
Capilano fluid
I just bought a 1275 capilano helm pump to replace a seastar pump. Mainly to reduce the number of turns. It called for seastar fluid before but I see now that capilano calls for dextron II is that correct? I wouldn’t want to damage the new pump. Submitted by: animalduck
Both will work, Capilano calls for ATF as the helm can be dialed down to accomodate for the heavier effort that ATF will lead to… SeaStar helms cannot.
