Normally there is a tag or the numbers stamped into the hydraulic cylinder. If you can’t find any identification, send us pictures and the dimensions of the rod and the cylinder barrel.
Capilano fluid
I just bought a 1275 capilano helm pump to replace a seastar pump. Mainly to reduce the number of turns. It called for seastar fluid before but I see now that capilano calls for dextron II is that correct? I wouldn’t want to damage the new pump.

Both will work, Capilano calls for ATF as the helm can be dialed down to accomodate for the heavier effort that ATF will lead to… SeaStar helms cannot.

I need to replace the o-ring of a Seastar Kevlar hydraulic hose HO5706
I need to replace the o-ring of a Seastar Kevlar hyd hose HO5706 connecting a 5345 Cylinder with a 5770 helm. Do you carry the o-ring or otherwise which would be the appropriate kit and its price?
Submitted by: Alejandro
Your local hydraulics repair facility should have an o-ring available. Also try NAPA.
