If it is cable steering it is a 3/4" tapered shaft, if it has hydraulic steering it can have a 1" straight shaft or a 3/4" tapered shaft.
Captain's wheel for my powerboat
I would like to replace the factory steering wheel on my 2002 Bayliner Ciera 2455 (appxox. 15" wheel) with a "Captain’s Wheel". My question is: will the KC42 fit the Boat? Would the 16 1/2" diameter be appropriate? Thank you… Submitted by: Neal
Pedestal Identification ?
Recently, I purchase a 24, Seaward sailboat and it has a pedestal steering unit. I do not know the manufacturer?
Did your company furnish the pedestal and wheel for Hake Yacht’s 24’ sailboat ? The year of my boat is 1987. Is it possible to get replacement parts and do you have a component list or diagram of the pedestal and wheel assembly. I want to purchase a pedestal guard, a bracket and method of attacheing instruments. I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can give me. I contacted Hake Yachts but they did not respond. At the time that these boats were built, there may have been 7 manufacturers of pedestals in the US - now there is just one (Edson). The steering system could also have been owner fitted - these boats came with tillers. You could give Edson a call, send them some photos and perhaps they have a guard and instrument pod that can be fitted.
Steering Wheel spacer 1" - 3/4" tapered?
I have just removed my old cable steering and replaced it with a Seastar hydraulic system. Now my old wheels are too big for the 3`4 inch Helms. Do you make a spacer for 1 inch to 3 quarter? Submitted by: Lenny
