Hi there, I need to replace the steering cable on my 1973 Seabird V24, with an OMC Sterndrive 225. The cable goes through the transom via a ball, and clamps onto the outside of the outdrive. I have a picture of the steering set up I can send you if that will help. Do you have this in stock? Many thanks, -Tom Submitted by: Hottub Tom
Answer You will need to remove the complete system. All you use over is the clam shells to hold the ball. You get a new cable, helm unit, ball kit and steering wheel. Once you have removed the system you can measure the cable. Question Gasket repair kit for my Baystar hydraulic steering system?
