Drip type diesel heaters
A tip for those who have Sigmar type oil heaters that are gravity fed. This suggestion has some hazardous consequences, should be used for emergencies only ! Consider installing a drip oiler type needle valve inline with the heater fuel line. Normally this needle is left wide open, (this valve will flow plenty of fuel if its wide open).
In the event the heater floatvalve buggers out, The dead floatvalve can be bypassed or otherwise jammed open and flame control obtained by careful adjustment of this needlevalve. Once again, ! Emergency use only ! The safety features of the floatvalve will of course not be working. Be extra careful and watch over the heater constantly if operating with the floatvalve not working. Here is the valve I used on my FabAll/Sigmar 180,
