sterndrive paint
I have an old 155 OMC sterndrive Hurston/Glas. boat. The original paint on the leg was white and getting well worn and chipped. I sandblasted it all off. It was very thick and difficult to sand. The spray can paints (5 different brands) that I have tried to date will not stay on. After a few weeks in the water they bubble and flake off. Do you know what the original paint was? The original coating was probably TBT (Tributyltin) based, which is no longer available. Or, it may have been a powder-coat, which is usually only done by professionals. These products may of use for your application. Primocon Metal Primer Pettit Epoxy Primer Kit
