What Tilt and Trim pump fluid should I use?
Hi, I was given an 1996 Larson bowrider with Mercruiser 3.0. I am currently working on the trim pump assembly. I need to know what fluid goes in the pump. The current pump assembly looks like the API 500n-2. It looks like motor oil in the tank, but I thought it would use some type of hydralic fluid. Thanks Answer You need a Power Tilt & Trim Fluid specifically formulated for Tilt & Trim applications which has anti-foam additives and provides lubrication and corrosion protection.
