adapter cable
Trying to decide on a 50A to dual 30A y- adapter Marinco 152ay or 153ay. Which receptical configuration is more commonly found at Chesapeake Bay marinas? 125/250V/50A (153ay) or 125v/50A (152ay) Presently have two 125V/30A cables which is fine if the pier has 2 recepticals @ 125V/30A like my home pier. Unfortunately we are located on the west coast and do not have that information at hand. I would contact a few marinas you plan on visiting and see what they suggest.
Do you have a NEMA L5-20 shore power?
My boat slip provides the above described stationary shore power hookup. I want a pigtail with the male locking three prong to a standard female household extension cord. Do you have such a thing? Submitted by: Craig
Shore Power 100 to split into 2 50 amp cords
I usually connect my two 50amp shore cords to two 50amp amp receptacles ashore however, I would prefer to connect the two to one 100amp receptacle ashore. Do you offer a "y" splitter? I know that the inverse is more common and have seen many reverse y adapters. Submitted by: I
Marinco does not build such a Y cord splitter. You could purchase a 50/50/50 Y and convert the one end to a 100.
50 amp 125 volt inlet ---- rear safety enclosure
I need a new rear enclosure for my inlet. it provides strain relief and some fire safety. But i cannot find any on the market. Do i have to buy the whole inlet with the stainless cover to get that part? Answer: The only backing available appears to be the common 30 Amp. _ Submitted by: richard

Have a 52’ 1976 Stardust Cruiser Houseboat
Currently I have a 50 Amp connection from shore to boat. The marina wants to change to 30 Amp. What’s the easiest and best way to accommodate this (adapter)? I don’t want to move. Will I still be able to use 220 with my central heat? Answer: You have two different things going on. 1. Yes, you can make an adapter from a 30A to 50A - in your case, you will need a 30A male to plug into the dock, connected with wire to a 50A female to have your cord plug into that. 2. To know what will happen at the outside breaker is also simple - does your heating draw 25-30 Amps? If so, you will be blowing the breaker. I suspect that 30 Amps will not be enough for your boat. Additionally, most 50’ dock slips have 50A because of this. Lastly, your service is likely being cut from 220v to 110v Submitted by: Ron
