ge genie shore power system
How can we tell the amps on a power cord we have . The lettering on the cable is GE B Genie Type 50 s1-53116 10 AWG 3 cond 600V? Appreciate any info on this
Submitted by: roberta Morgan
You can tell by what it will plug into - 20, 30, 50 and 100 amp plugs at marinas are all unique. My speculation based on the numbers and wire size is that you have a 50 amp cord.
Shore power cords - do you offer a 30A to 50A adapter?
Is there a power cord available to hook up one 30amp shore power cord to a 50amp dock power box?

Shore power in France
Is it possible to get a cable which will connect to shore power in France and allow us to use it on the other end as a trailing socket for appliances, like a laptop. We can’t get shore power fitted to the boat until next year.
Submitted by: ricardo
You are not being really clear here, but my first inclination is no. Shore power in France will be 220 50 Hz. Unless what you are running is this voltage and frequency, you will run into problems. If you are just trying to make a cord that will fit to a European plug at one end and fit another end (American or ?) on the other end of the cord, that can be done easily.
