I have a 1998 Chaparral 232 deck boat. It has a sink with a single Attwood 6143 faucet that no longer pumps. I’d like to upgrade to a simple pressurized system. Any suggestions? Submitted by: Al
Jabsco VSD system with a separate switch
I have a Jabsco Dual Sensor Max VSD system that I will be installing on my boat. Although it has a run-dry capability I wonder if there is a shutoff switch that can be installed in the supply side of the pump so that the system will shut down if the water source runs dry. Do you know of such a switch? Submitted by: Richard
You can add a Float Switch to supply power to the pump ONLY when there is water present. That should help battery life!
Waterpump High volume Water pressure System Part# 32637
I’m interested to use this pump in our RV, but need measures to see if the pump and all can be fitted into the available space for installation. Please also advice how the unit can be emptied for water is stored using winter time i.e freezing conditions. Submitted by: Christer Bardland
The minimum clearance will be approximateley 13" x 14" x 9" the actual dimensions are 11-1/4 W x 12-7/8 D x 7-1/2 H. We do have a Full PDF available for that pump.
Houseboat water pressure system
I have a 56’ houseboat that is used during the weekends during the spring and summer time. I’m looking for a water pressure system that will provide adequate pressure and flow for sinks and shower and for deck wash down. The boat currently has a 3.5 Jabsco 12volt pump. I’m looking at replacing it with a Jabsco dual max VSD system. Any suggestions? Submitted by: Ken
The Dual Max would work well for you. It is the solution to a system like yours where you would have used 2-3 pumps before. It is a substantial (more than double) upgrade for your current system.
