Do you have an ignition conversion kit for a Volvo Penta AQ131B 230 4 cylinder engine that is in my 1993 Crestliner I/O boat. The number on the side of the distributor is 0231178019. The number on the Product Plate is 230B 868534 110002595012382. I am also looking for plug wires (also coil wire) for the same. Submitted by: Mike

What is the proper method to check the continuity of the Spark Plug Wire Sets - 18-8802-1? Can you rely on an ohm check and will a resistance check work on plug wires? Submitted by: Mark
An ohm test will work fine but the issue is finding the correct specifications for your particular plug wires. If three wires test out at around 10,000 ohms and one is 100,000 ohms, its time to replace the set. If these are original and there is any question at all about the condition of your tune up parts, it is money well spent to replace the items.
