The Marine Turbine Series Fuel Filter is what we recommend for your application.

Unfortunately the parts are no longer available for that unit and Racors suggestion is to upgrade to one of the Newer 1000 Systems.

Question
Dual water separators / fuel filters

We have dual filters on our generator. There is a valve so that one filter can be shut off at a time to change elements. Should this filter run with both elements on all the time?
Would it not make sense to rum one and if it got dirty and ready for replacement then put the other one on line?
Or are they not designed that way?

Answer

As long as the single filter is rated for the fuel volume draw of the motor, you should run one and switch over to change OR when a filter gives you problem underway. Most vessels offer the either or set-up.

In short - it certainly makes sense to run it through one filter at a time and keeping the other as the ’back-up’.
