What do you use to renew the waterproofing?

Can I install a smaller gypsy on my Lewmar Pro-Series 1000 windlass?
I was given a Lewmar Pro-Series 1000 windlass with a gypsy designed for a 5/16" chain and 7/16" rope rode. And also, I have no mounting kit. My 26’ boat has a 1/4" chain and 1/2" rope rode. Is it worth changing the gypsy to use a smaller rode? And, can I buy a mounting kit? Submitted by: Wayne c Valcq
It is likely easier and cheaper to get a new rode than it would be to buy the smaller gypsy. Also, there is not a "mounting kit" but you can refer to this Lewmar PDF to select the items you need for the installation which we can then source for you. Make sure that your Pro-Series 1000 has the serial numbers beginning with 561, 563, 565, or 571.
