Question
Dickinson P12000 Heater

Does this heater use regular vapor propane or liquid propane? Can it be converted use either one?

Submitted by: Cindy
Answer

All of the heaters and stoves are fueled by liquid propane, "LP" (the gas is compressed until it is a liquid in the tank) then fed through a hose and regulator assembly where it vaporizes for burning.

The only place where you would be serviced with vaporized gas would be natural gas to a home.

So to possibly answer your question - these use the regular liquid propane that you find in tanks just like a bbq tank. The little 1lb green throw away tanks are also LP.

Question
Force 10 Cosy Cabin heater parts

Where can I buy parts for the Force 10 Cosy cabin heater. I am missing the "black burner cap"?

Submitted by: Russ
Answer

The main burner will only fit a Dickinson branded cosy cabin heater.

Please confirm that you own the Dickinson version as the burner will not work for the Force 10 propane. Is your heater newer than 2007?

Dickinson Newport Propane Boat Heater / Fireplace, P12000

Dickinson Newport Propane Boat Heater / Fireplace, P12000.
Could you tell me if this is appropriate for a 43 foot boat, or recomend any other gas heater, and could you give me costs to New Zealand, or a New Zealand agent.

Submitted by: Ian Paterson
Answer

The Newport P12000 will heat the main cabin well and offer ’spill over’ heat to the rest of the boat. Shipping to New Zealand will be approximately 200 dollars. Accurate shipping can be calculated at the time of order.
