EPIRBS are commonly flown in checked bags (you will find a little note inside that they looked at it).
EPIRB battery and release device replacement
I have an ACR cat 1 with outdated battery. Do you have a replacement service? Or more practical to buy new? thanks, Lee Danner: longtime customer for boating needs. Answer: Lee, all EPIRB batteries must be replaced at an authorized center. EPIRB batteries are not designed to be owner serviceable. There is a waterproof seal and testing of the signal that also must be conducted. _ Submitted by: Lee
