I recently replaced a power steering hose on my grady white. The original hose was way too long and looped around in the compartment. I had a new line made with a much shorter length and installed it. I am now having trouble bleeding the system. Does the hose length matter? Submitted by: Craig
The hose makes no difference - you have a small air pocket in the system.

Yes they can be uses instead of nylon tubing.
Can I lengthen Baystar Steering Hose with a splice?
I recently purchased a Baystar Hydraulic steering kit. This kit came with two 20’ lengths of tubing. I need about 26’. Is there a way to purchase this tubing and install a splice. Submitted by: Butch
Yes, you can splice nylon hydraulic steering hose. We carry Hydraulic Nylon Tubing in both 5/16" and 3/8" by the foot. We also have Brass Compression Nuts and Sleeves.
