Affordably replace your boat's outboard steering with a new steering system by Uflex or Teleflex Marine. We offer steering system packages for rack and pinion, hydraulic or rotary cable steering systems.
I am about to purchase a 1996 mako17 with a 1997 suzuki 115hp. My first project is to install a hydraulic jack plate with a 4" set back. I then want to install hydraulic steering. Is there a Baystar system that will work on this boat?

The link below will work well for your application.
I have a 24 foot aluminum fishing boat, 9 foot beam w/2008 250 HP Suzuki. Is a ultraflex UP28fm pump the right one to use? Have had a leaking problem on back bottom brass fitting from the time I purchased the boat. I have changed rubber O-ring but still leaks. Possible crack in housing. Thinking about replacing the pump unit. Suggestions? Thanks.

Hello, the UP28 pump will work fine for your application.
I just purchased a nitro z6, turning to the right is hard but do-able, turning to the left is almost impossible. It takes me two hands to turn the steering wheel. Is there an adjustment?

Most of those have cable steering with 1 or 2 cables. What you need to do is disconnect the steering cables from the engine and move the engine back and forth by hand, if it moves freely and does not bind you need to replace your steering cable ( s ) . There are no adjustments and no way to service these, you just need to replace them. There is a number within a foot of each end of the cable in the plastic jacket, it will tell you the series and length of cable you have. Please let us know if you need further assistance.
