Power Trim & Tilt Motor & wiring
I have a 1991 Mercury 175XRI outboard motor that the power tilt & trim motor and wiring harness that is completely burned (meltdown). What replacement motor & wiring harness do I need? Motor model # 1-175413L and Serial # ODO68654. Thanks. Submitted by: Tony
Tilt n Trim
My tilt only clicks the solenoid when I try to lift it or put it down. Its a 91 100 hp Merc. Where should I start looking for problems? Submitted by: Skippy
Try putting power directly the the tilt motor and see if runs. The blue wire is up and the green wire is down!
stern drive tilt and trim pump
My stern drive goes all the way down but would only go half way up and then the pump quits then stops making noise. Submitted by: Roly
Sounds like you need a new trim/tilt motor. What is the make model and year of the engine/drive package?

trim motor
I have a 1988 5.7 merc with alfa 1 drive. When I use my trim buttons to tilt my drive the motor or solenoid clicks about 10 times before it moves. I have new batteries fully charged. Is this a solenoid problem,and if it is what part do I need? Could it be a bad motor? Submitted by: steve
Try tapping on the motor with a hammer and see if it responds quicker. If so replace the motor.
