tilt and trim issues on a 200 EFI Mercury
The tilt and trim just started making a rough grinding noise. It kinda reminds you of a rotary hammer drill noise. The tilt and trim continues to go up and down without the noise changing. I am trying to also figure out the year of the motor and tilt. It is a 200 Merc EFI. Mercury 200 HP XRi Electronic fuel injection Serial # oC261267

Tilt n Trim
My tilt only clicks the solenoid when I try to lift it or put it down. Its a 91 100 hp Merc. Where should I start looking for problems?

Try putting power directly the the tilt motor and see if runs. The blue wire is up and the green wire is down!
stern drive tilt and trim pump
My stern drive goes all the way down but would only go half way up and then the pump quits then stops making noise.

Sounds like you need a new trim/tilt motor. What is the make model and year of the engine/drive package?
