500 gph motor cartridge
I bought a new 500 gph motor cartridge. Do I buy a new wiring harness or can I use solder with plastic shrink on connectors and the old 12v harness? Submitted by: Dave
If you are diligent, solder and shrink wrap should work just fine.
bilge or sump pump? - What would be the best way to remove accumulated rain water from our dragon boats?
What would be the best way to remove accumulated rain water from our dragon boats? It rains maybe 2-3 inches a week and sometimes boats sit unattended for 2 weeks without bailing. Need automatic bailing unit of some kind. What do you suggest? Submitted by: cheryl
Water Pumps
I have an old restored Robalo boat. There is very limited access to the hull area under the deck. I would like to mount a pump that has a hose attachment(to go down into the below-deck area) to suck the water out and then pump thru the existing thru-hull. The pump itself would need to be above the deck area so it can’t be submersible. Any iudeas ? Submitted by: Jerry

Elecric 12v bilge pumps
I wish to be a replacement bilge pump for a Jabsco.I find the Jabsco nothing but trouble …I need a heavy duty pump for a 46 ft Nordhaven.It must be automatic and can shift a lot of crap without blocking and leaking like the Jabsco.Also occasional oil in the bilge.Please advise by email and be prepared to send to Malaysia. What size hose fitting do you have? Is it acceptable to have the pump separate from the float switch?
There are some really good debris pumps that would work for you (and I am familiar with the Nordhaven line).
Lastly - 12v or 24v?
