I have 2 Volvo Penta gas engines in my 28’ Carver boat.Name plate data on one engine is ,Engine type 501B/MS4B 1.5 S/N 4100134628
Prod.#86B414.I want to replace the Carberator.Not sure exactly what to get yet.What I have in there now is a Holly 4150 4 bbl.I think it is a 715 CFM type with two fuel inlets.It also has an electric choke.I think its model#855750.I found these numbers stamped on the carburator. R840-37-1651.What I would like to know is if you can get one and what is the price for a new one and a rebuilt one. Thanks Submitted by: Peter Corrao
I suggest you have yours rebuilt. New replacement marine carburetors run about .00 each.

1986 351 pmc Holley carb issue
1986 351 pcm Holley Carb.. Installed new electronic ignition 6 months ago, Boat ran great till end of season, Idles fine, stalls when put in gear, runs ok once I get up on plane but will not stay running at no wake speed.. Plz help!! Submitted by: craig04
Sounds like the carburetor needs to be looked at, it could have a possible vacuum leak.
