Marine Alternator
I need to replace the alternator on a 1995 Four Winns 278 Vista with a Ford 302 5.0 and Cobra stern drives. It’s a 12 volt system. Can you tell me what model alternator I need? Thanks,

Runs great at idle. Start to move lever up and engine starts to back fire. To restart you have to hold throttle all the way down. I have a rochester quardrajet. Submitted by: dennis
It sounds like the accelerator pump is worn. I suggest you rebuild the carburetor.
Engine is heating up
I have a four winns volvo 3 liter inboard. It’s heating up when I am going but it’s ok at idle. Why?

I have 2 Volvo Penta gas engines in my 28’ Carver boat.Name plate data on one engine is ,Engine type 501B/MS4B 1.5 S/N 4100134628
Prod.#86B414.I want to replace the Carberator.Not sure exactly what to get yet.What I have in there now is a Holly 4150 4 bbl.I think it is a 715 CFM type with two fuel inlets.It also has an electric choke.I think its model#855750.I found these numbers stamped on the carburator. R840-37-1651.What I would like to know is if you can get one and what is the price for a new one and a rebuilt one. Thanks Submitted by: Peter Corrao
I suggest you have yours rebuilt. New replacement marine carburetors run about .00 each.
