Im looking for a raw water pump. I have a 1977 318 crysler marine motor stock in a 1977 trojan sadan.

Chrysler 225 M Series Year 1976:
Need engine thermostat 140 and gasket

Answer

Sorry cannot confirm parts for that engine but here is what works on the 318 engine, Chrysler part number is 2463441. We do not have a gasket.

I installed high volume oil pumps on my Chrysler 318s can I still use a standerd oil filter?

Hard Starting with twin Chrysler 318's I/O's...

I have a 1970 Gibson Houseboat with twin Chrysler 318’s I/O. I have changed the points to electronic ignition and replaced the coils, but it is still hard to start. The carburetors have been rebuilt. Sometimes it takes me 5 minutes of cranking to get them started. I was thinking it sounded like a fuel delivery problem. I was thinking of going with either an aftermarket fuel pump an blocking of the mechanical fuel pump and replacing it with an electric pump. Once they are running, they run great, just hard to start

Answer

The fuel pump is not the problem. Look at the carburetor choke. Make sure the carburetor butterfly is completely closed when the engine is cold.
