raw water pump - 1986 - 350ci
I’ve a 1986 350/260 Mercruiser that needs a raw water circulating pump - which part # is correct? It mounts lower left when looking at the front of the motor. Thanks! Ed Submitted by: Ed in OC MD

correct spark plugs
I have a 2006 mie horizon 350 inboard engine serial # ow396961. My owners manual calls for ac platinum 41-983 spark plug. however the plug that was installed (orig equip) is ac 41-932. which is the correct spark plug? tks Submitted by: dom
The AC number is 41-993. The NGK part number is ITR4A15. Hope this helps!

I have a 1979 Mercruiser and the starter clicks. Any idea on how I can check the starter or get the starter to turn over? It was working fine until last week. Submitted by: Les
First make sure you have a fully charged battery and all cables are clean and tight. If you have good voltage to the starter, try tapping the starter case with a hammer. If that doesn’t free things up, you will need to remove the starter.
Why is my engine hard to start when warm?
I have a 350 Chevy 5.7 260 hp Merc I start up pretty good when I first get to my boat but after riding for a while it really starts very hard and I have to pump the throttle and use full throttle. What do you think. It’s a 1989 I use fuel stableizer. I’ve redone the spark plugs etc. Submitted by: neilfig
If the engine is carbureted check the choke. It may be staying closed.
