The starter at the link below should be it. If you have pulled yours, it should only weigh between 6-8 pounds, which makes it a gear reduction starter. Sierra, New Starter
tilt and trim drive
I have a 1973 aq130 Volvo Penta. I purchased a tilt and trim motor which just spins when power is applied. It seems the drive unit below the tilt and trim motor is bad. Do you have a exploded view with parts numbers so I can order the correct parts? Submitted by: Martin
Electronic Ignition Conversion
I have a Volvo/Penta 1978 Bayliner Boat with a 305 V-8
AQ225 D Engine and Prestolite IBM 7011A Distributor. I would like to change it the Electronic Ignition deleting the Points,condenser and rotor. What Kit do I need? As well a New Distributor Cap. Kindly let me know and the prices. After Installing the Conversion Kit am I going to have to adjust anything Timing, Carb etc. Submitted by: John Charmo
Do you have a screw down cap or a clip down cap? After installation the timing should be checked.
