Repair Instructions for PVC and Polyurethane Raingear Supplied by Manufacturer

There are basically two ways to repair your foulweather gear.

For actual holes:

(1) Create a backing on the PVC side of the fabric with tape (such as masking tape).

(2) Apply a thin layer of Aqua Seal to the inside of the fabric of the garment, overlapping the edges of the hole by at least 1/2 inch.

(3) Using one of the fabric patches included, cover the distressed area, being sure that you apply the lining side of the patch to the lining side of the garment. That's right with this patch, the PVC of the patch will actually be facing inside.

(4) Apply a slight pressure such as a pan of full water, a large book, etc. Keep the repaired area under pressure and level for 10-14 hours.

Aqua Seal will preform properly even if the affected areas are wet.

For Small Tears:

(1) Create a backing on the PVC side of the fabric with tape (such as masking tape).

(2) Fill the void of the tear from the inside with Aqua Seal, 1/4 inch beyond the edge of the tear.

(3) Keep the reparied area level for 10-14 hours.

(4) When Aqua Seal is completely dry, carefully remove the backing tape.

The amazing elasticity of Aqua Seal allows small repairs to be made without any fabric patch.

Storage: For extended life, place tube in freezer. For thawing or for easier flowing contents, soak tube in water.

CAUTION:
Aqua Seal contains: Toluene. Use only in well ventilated area. Avoid prolonged breathing of vapors. Do not use near heat or flames. Do not ingest. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Seek medical aid immediately. Avoid contact with skin or eyes. Keep out of reach of children.
