How can this pump be self priming and still carry a "Do not run dry" warning?
I am confused. How can this pump be self priming and still carry a "Do not run dry" warning? Thanks,

In the washdown application this is rarely an issue, but when people use this as a shower pump or sump applications, there is a real chance that the pump will be left running after the water was pumped and run out. Impeller pumps are good for 30 seconds to a couple minutes of dry running before the blades start to heat up - this is not an issue in self priming.
