RESPECT THE ELEMENTS

Free Gill Gloves

Designing marine gear that really works, starts with understanding what is required in the first place.

The Gill philosophy is to always push the boundaries of innovation, designing and developing products that are at the cutting edge of technology. The Gill Product Development team spends hours debating and discussing every detail that they believe is essential to the true sportsperson. The results are apparent in the quality of the entire Gill product range.

Gill realizes how confusing the subject of performance fabrics can be. There is so much technical jargon and very little explanation. In response, the Yellow Dot Classification System simply explains the attributes of the fabric. For example, a 2 Dot fabric has good breathability and good durability and is ideal for dinghy sailing. Don't be fooled by the simplicity however, because Gill searches the world for the most technical fabrics and then rigorously tests them in the field and the laboratory before assigning a Dot rating.

Gill's extensive in-house and independent lab testing program then adds an additional level of assurance that the products will do their job. Gill does all of this so that you can completely trust every single Gill product to do what is intended of it, and often a whole lot more.
