WESMAR builds high quality Bow Thrusters and Stern Thrusters for boats from 38 to over 200 Feet. There are 28 WESMAR thruster models of hydraulic and electric double thrust counter rotating thrusters and single prop thrusters for pleasure boat and commercial applications, from 5 to 350 horsepower.
WESMAR is the inventor of the dual prop counter rotating bow thruster for yachts and workboats. Their VORTEX dual prop bow thrusters are for all sized vessels, both pleasure and commercial. The dual prop, counter rotation design produces a rugged and reliable bow thruster and/or stern thruster that produces about 40% more thrust with the same input horsepower.
The WESMAR VORTEX single prop thrusters are an affordable option for boats that cannot accommodate the tube size of the double thrust dual prop thrusters. The new VORTEX single prop bow and stern thrusters are easily upgradeable from a single prop thruster to the more powerful counter rotating dual propeller system without removing the thruster from the tunnel.
WESMAR designs and manufactures its bow and stern thrusters along with other WESMAR products at an 82,000-foot facility near Seattle. At this location, the company maintains a sophisticated engineering design lab, prototype and test facilities and a complete, modern and highly automated manufacturing department that includes a mold and machining facility with computerized machinery and test equipment. Here bow and stern thrusters are tested for power, prop size and pitch, clearance and configuration in WESMAR's one-of-a-kind world-class testing lab.
WESMAR products are used throughout the world for work in the fishing, sports, military and pleasure boat markets.
