Sterndrive Engineering Adopts Three Year Fault-free Warranty
Clearwater, Florida -- Sterndrive Engineering Inc. (SEI) announced today that the warranty on it's sterndrives has been changed from a one year limited warranty to a three year fault-free warranty. "We believe this new warranty is the best in the sterndrive industry" said Greg Pickren, President SEI. "Nobody that we know of offers a three year fault-free warranty on sterndrives" he added. "After selling tens of thousands of these drives over the past three years and doing extensive testing at our research facility, we are very confident in the product. It's only natural at this point to extend our warranty” stated Justin Webb, SEI's General Manager. "Our drives have always been the most economical. Now they also have a great warranty." added Ericka Kegg, SEI's Sales Manager. The three year fault-free warranty covers any damage to the drive that requires it to be repaired or replaced including failures resulting from lack of oil, fishing line, impact, neglect, and other abuse.
I have a SeaRay 300 sundancer with twin 350 engines . Both lower units run clockwise and believe one is suppose to be counter. It’s an 86 model and want your suggestions on out drives. Gear is 150 . Do I need to go up or down or stay same. Thanks

You do not want to change ratios so the one you need is our 1.47unit. Most boats do come with opposite rotations but it is not necessary unless you feel the boat does not handle like you think it should.
If it was me and everything was fine I would keep them the same rotation, it will simplify things in the long run with props gears etc.
I just bought a 1993 chaparral 2050 slc with a 4.3l v6 and alpha one outdrive. third day on the water the outdrive failed. how do I know its only the lower drive? I checked and its still shifting so I know its not the cable and the prop spins very easily in either direction if that makes a difference. I would like to order the lower drive only if I can? thanks New to boating

If you are sure the top end is good then you can certainly order just the lower. The link below will take you there.
