Uflex Rotech, Universal Rotary Cable Steering Systems, are convenient steering kits especially suitable for replacement marine boat steering systems, and includes helm, bezel, and cable.
To calculate steering cable length, measure plastic jacket only, add 18 inches, and round up to next foot. Better long than short!
The cable is available in 1-ft increments from 7 to 25 feet. Before ordering make sure you know the proper length you need. The steering wheel is not included.
I am building a wood classic design and have a wood steering wheel out of an old Camaro. Would it be possible to adapt it to the universal steering system?

Nearly anything is possible - but you would need to make some kind of adapter that would fit the 3/4 tapered helm to what ever the steering wheel is (if you are lucky, it is a 3/4" taper).
Steering kit for a 1987 Bayliner trophy 19.5 ft boat
I have a 1987 Bayliner trophy 19.5 ft boat with a 125hp force outboard and I was wanting to know which kit i needed to replace my steering. The old cable that was on it has this part number SSC12415, it is now a rack system and i was wanting to change to a Rotary system.
