Question
Uflex accuteck steering

I have determined that I would like to replace the steering system on my boat with a Rack & Pinion NFB system. What I need to determine is if the Rack will fit behind my dash. Could you please provide the dimensions of the Rack & Pinon part? I can’t seem to find this information anywhere.

Answer

You will require 16-18" of clear space.

Question
steering

I have adual cable system on my merc. 150. one cable is frozen, so i unhooked it. will i be ok with 1 cable or what should i do as my funds are low.this is an 87 drifter bass bt, and what kind of deal do i have as below the dash there is a round hub were the cables go in. these cables connect in this hub with a 90 degree hook like end. please help

Answer:

The first thing you need to do is get the numbers off one of the old cables. That will tell the model and length of the cable. I can find you a replacement with that information. If you run with one cable, I would keep the speed down.
