C-Map NT+ Electronic Navigation Charts - The Great Lakes, Wide Coverage
$174.99
C-Map NT+ Electronic Charts to navigate the Great Lakes of North America give you ideal coverage for trips of any lengths with detailed information to make your cruise safer & more enjoyable. NT+ charts use C-Map's Guardian Technology that scans the chart area you choose in front of your vessel & sets off an alarm if you come upon shoals, rocks, sand spits or other areas that pose a threat to you & your boat.

NT+ electronic charts are reverse compatible with NT charting systems but with four times the coverage. C-Map creates their object oriented NT+ charts from official paper charts & adds features paper chart can't match.

NT+ features:

  • Seamless chart data with detailed, true color NavAids & on-screen query of all chart objects
  • US Port & World Wide Tide information

Additional Description
NT+ navigation charts give you better information and larger coverage areas than the NT charts they replace. NT+ chart technology brings you object oriented, vector charts faithfully reproduced from official paper charts but with information and capabilities paper charts cannot provide. NT+ charts include all the information of raster & simple vector charts without data dilution or and no odd scaling. These charts provide seamless coverage allowing smooth panning between coverage layers of any given navigation area.

NT+ Guardian Technology scans an area you define in front of your boat for shoals, rocks, sand spits & other areas that pose a threat if you continues on your current course. Guardian signals an alarm if you boat enters the predetermined area so you can be on the look out.

NT+ charts give you North-up or Chart-up view options. The NavAids are presented in detailed, true color paper chart appearance. NT+ lets you view NavAids in your choice of three configuration displays:
  • US - simplified shapes & real colors (Think NOAA paper charts)
  • International - real to life shapes & colors for fast visual recognition
  • Simplified - presents NavAids as generic symbols to reduce on-screen clutter

NT+ Charts provide tidal information for primary tidal stations worldwide & secondary tidal stations in the U.S. You can see easy-to-read graphs displaying depth at high & low water including sun-up and sun-down predictions making travel planning easier.

C-MAP Electronic charts are produced using official Hydrographic Office (HO) charts under the controls of ISO 9002 certified quality system. They are accurate to the best of C-Map's knowledge and any inconsistencies found are generally due to undetectable limitations in the HO charts themselves. C-MAP electronic charts are not currently considered legal replacements of official HO charts and so should be used only as supplements to these, together with prudent navigation habits. Where due, Royalty Charges are included in C-CARD prices and paid to National Hydrographic Authorities.

Question
c104 vs c102

Hi I am considering purchasing C-Map NT+ Electronic Navigation Charts either the na-102 or the na-104. What is the main difference between them? I mostly boat Georgian Bay, but I noticed one is a wide and one is an NT. I have an older Raymarine RL80Plus unit.

Answer

The 104 does not exist, but given where you boat the manufacturer recommends using the NA-C101. It gives complete coverage and will work well with your unit. The link below will take you to that map.
