Grey Marine Tex

I just received the grey Marine Tex that I ordered. It is a gallon can, roughly 12 pounds. The catalyst is 28 ounces. The instructions (on the can) indicate a 5:1 ratio of putty to catalyst. Does this translate to 6 pounds of putty to 14 ounces of catalyst? That would be about half of the contents of each can mixed together? I have used this material before but not in this large amount at one time. I am repairing a oil pan on a vehicle that I cannot remove the oil pan. Thanks you very much… Steve
