My wife and I sailed to Blake Island on Friday afternoon. The breeze was freshening by the time we reached the moorings on the west side. The Grabber worked perfectly, picking up the mooring easily. The wind continued to rise to gale force with gusts to 55 kn. A wild night on the mooring. I decided to put another line through the mooring ring as a safety precaution. This would have been impossible without the Grabber, since the mooring itself was submerged most of the time. It was a piece of cake with the gadget. Not that we slept soundly bouncing up and down like we were riding a horse. I also checked the mooring lines for chafe a couple of times through the night.
