Power trim

I have a 1997 Mercuiser with a 4.3 engine. The outdrive will not go up or down. I used a jumper to take power directly to the blue wire on the motor. I saw a small spark however nothing moved.

I believe the motor is bad, how do I remove it?

Remove the reservoir; you will see the bolts holding the pump and motor together.
