Is this anchor suitable for sand as well as rock anchoring?
Is this anchor suitable for sand as well as rock anchoring? I have a 26 ft 8500# displacement boat.
Answer
We don’t recommend that you use this anchor in sand. Instead we recommend that you use something similar to the Manta Anchor 16-1/2# and 10 ft. of 5/16 chain. It dosen’t stow quite as easily. You could also consider a Danforth Anchor which is more compact (flat) for storage.
