Sen-Dure Heat Exchangers

Sen-Dure Heat ExchangersSen-Dure specializes in heat exchangers built for marine inboard gasoline and diesel applications for over 70 years. Sen-Dure manufactures heat exchangers for hard to get diesels such as Ford Lehman, I.H. (International Harvester) Palmer, Gray Marine, as well as the more common diesels, including; Perkins, Detroit Diesel, Westerbeke, Caterpillar, Cummins and others. Heat exchangers built from copper and bronze; with inner tubes and tube sheets constructed of either copper or 90/10 Copper-Nickel (Cupro-Nickle) alloy offering long life in the marine environment.

Heat Exchanger Construction

Heat exchangers are typically constructed of copper cooling tubes or of a copper nickel alloy called cupro-nickle. The copper nickel alloy is most commonly done in a 90/10 ratio although 70/30 is available in limited applications. Heat exchangers built from 90/10 cupro-nickle tubes offer increased resistance to salt water corrosion and biofouling. Cupronickel does not corrode in seawater, because its electrical potential is adjusted to be neutral with regard to seawater. Almost any marine heat exchanger Go2marine offers can be modified for your custom needs; including size, materials, brackets and fittings. Contact our engine parts specialists to help you with your order.
