Dickinson Marine

Family-owned Dickinson Marine has been hand-crafting quality stainless steel quality stainless steel stoves, heaters and barbecues since 1932. There is a wide variety of Dickinson stoves and heaters to choose from, for both commercial and recreational vessels. Dickinson also features Sig diesel appliances and the Cozy Cabin propane heater, having taken over the manufacture of the Sig Marine line in 2006.

Dickinson Stoves

Dickinson marine stoves are available in both propane and diesel models. There are three propane-burning models and six diesel burning stoves, in sizes ranging from 21” to 36” widths and having two to three burners. Whether you need a boat stove for a small sailboat, an ocean-going ship, or something in between, there’s sure to be a cookstove to fit your galley.

Propane vs Diesel Stoves

Diesel stoves are mostly used by northern-latitude cruisers and commercial boats. Diesel burns hot, is safer than some other types of fuel (like alcohol) and, thanks to its high heat content, is compact to store. Fuel for the stove can also be supplied by the vessel’s fuel tank. Propane stoves, also known as LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas), is now the most common type of fuel on most of the newer boats. Propane is stored as a liquid and burned as a gas, making it a compact choice.

When preparing food out of the galley, Dickinson has that covered, too, with marine-grade propane barbeques in three different sizes.

Dickinson Marine Heaters

There is a large array of Dickinson marine heaters to be found as well, and like the stoves, these heaters are designed for small or larger boats. There are five types of heaters and many models to choose from.

• Dickinson Propane Heaters contains a safe manual ignition – often used in tiny homes.
• Dickinson Diesel Heater / diesel boat fireplaces create dry heat. Sizes range from compact bulkhead-mounted heaters to a larger floor model with a cast iron top that you can cook on.
• Dickinson Radiator Heater uses the waste water heat produced by a water cooled engine, or a hot water system, to generate air heat
• Solid fuel heater can burn wood, pressed-wood logs, charcoal briquettes, or coal
Sizes range from compact bulkhead-mounted heaters to a larger floor model with a cast iron top that you can cook on. There is even a solid fuel stove available that can burn wood, pressed-wood logs, charcoal briquettes, or coal.
