Well, finely stranded tinned copper conductors help to prevent corrosion. At the same time, these conductors allow the cable to be flexible. Flexibility is essential when working in enclosed marine spaces. Another important aspect of triplex boat cable is the insulation. The PVC insulation is manufactured to provide protection from fatigue and moisture. This is achieved during the extrusion process of the insulation. While extruding, Pacer leaves no void between conductors. This eliminates the possibility of moisture or air between the wires. As an added bonus, talcum powder is coated on the wires. This allows for the easy removal of the jacket during installation. Another reason triplex boat cable is perfect for use with multiconductor cable connectors.
