Question
Battery switch

I have an 10 HP Tohatsu electric start outboard on 27’ Bristol sailboat.
Presently, I have only one battery for both starting and house. I am going to add a house battery. How would the battery switch be connected with a starter battery and a house battery? Which battery switch is appropriate?

Submitted by: Don Corbin
Answer

A main battery disconnect switch would be suitable for your application.

Question
Does "Lock" lock it in position

On the 16400 with the lock, does the lock lock it in any position or just off? I have a grandson with impulsive fingers and I don’t want him rotating the switch.

Submitted by: Gus Elia
Answer

The Perko Battery Selector Switch only locks in the off position.
