DESCRIPTION

Shields 250 Series, ShieldsFlex II Exhaust and Water Hose with wire is resistant to exhaust fumes, ozone, mild chemicals, antifreeze and saltwater.

  • Meets SAE J2006R2
  • Temperature Range: 200 Deg. F continuous and 250 Deg. F intermittent
  • Premium wire reinforced marine hose
  • Improved compounding allows ShieldsFlex II to be used in marine water and wet exhaust applications
  • Designed for engine intake, bilge discharge, toilet and holding tank connections, scupper line
  • Also for marine wet exhaust where connection requires a long length (greater than four times the inside diameter) or the connection requires a significant bend
  • Sold by foot enter number of feet desired in the Qty. box
  • NOTE: Hoses over 3" ID may have shipping length restrictions (generally 7 feet) since they cannot coil

Shieldsflex II Marine Water/Exhaust Hose has a black synthetic rubber tube and cover. It is reinforced with wire helix imbedded between plies of HD synthetic cord. It is resistant to exhaust fumes, ozone, mild chemicals, antifreeze and saltwater. This hose is abrasion and odor permeation resistant. It now has double the ozone resistance required by the SAEJ2006. Shieldsflex II is primarily used for engine intake, wet exhaust connections (use where bends or long lengths are required), bilge pump intake/discharge, scupper lines, toilet intake/discharge, and holding tank vent/pump out.

I'm sure the product will be great once it gets here. It will have taken 9 days to get it. On the good side I bought it for less than $5.00 per foot where West Marine wanted over $18.00 per foot. However I am missing precious days at the end of season here in GA. I didn't realize it would take this long.
