Widely renowned, Penetrol boasts over five decades of global usage as an additive that enhances paint's spreadability, penetration, and adhesion. Comprising a versatile mix of natural oils, Penetrol showcases remarkable bonding capabilities and thrice the penetration prowess of water. With a high solid content, minimal odor, colorless appearance, and non-toxic nature when dry, Penetrol is perfectly suited for indoor applications.

Seeping into the tiniest fissures and pinholes that conventional paint cannot reach, Penetrol dries to form a resilient, flexible finish, creating a potent bond for the subsequent paint layer. This stable, long-lasting solution counteracts the detrimental impact of weather and surface conditions on paint. Penetrol can function independently as a primer/sealer or be combined with oil/alkyd-based paints, primers (wood or metal), varnishes, and stains. This enhances their spreadability and surface penetration, enabling them to adhere to nearly any material, including glass.

In contrast to thinners, Penetrol integrates with the paint mixture rather than evaporating, thereby increasing coverage per gallon.

Avoid using Penetrol with two-part paint coatings, acrylics, or water-based paints. It is also not suitable for use with chlorinated rubber or coal tar coatings. If uncertain, always test a small mixture first to verify compatibility. The quantity of Penetrol added will not alter the dried paint's appearance. Penetrol simplifies achieving superior results with wood primers and stains by accounting for wood porosity. When applied in multiple coats, Penetrol can even restore sun-damaged wood, such as severely peeling window sills, before painting. It prevents untreated interior beams, panels, and furniture from becoming dry and dull while nourishing the wood and accentuating the grain with a lustrous finish. As it is non-toxic when dry, Penetrol is ideal for indoor use. Penetrol Wood Oil is also available for a hand-rubbed finish.

Penetrol effortlessly safeguards wood against moisture damage while providing a solid foundation for paint and varnish. It seals and protects bare wood, ensuring subsequent paint layers adhere firmly. Penetrol should be applied to all surfaces, particularly the end grain, which is most susceptible to moisture damage. To combat mold and mildew, add VC175 Tropical Mould Killer to the paint for long-term protection. Penetrol Wood Oil, featuring a special scent, is available for interior use.

Creating custom wood stains is a breeze with Penetrol. By adding universal tint or blending with 10-25% oil-based paint or stain, Penetrol can produce a wide range of wood tone effects. For exterior use, non-fading oxides or wood tone colors are recommended. To create a robust, long-lasting solid hiding stain for wood decks, mix 20-30% high-quality oil-based enamel with Penetrol.

Reviving faded wood stains is simple with Penetrol. Exterior wood stains dulled by weathering can be rejuvenated with one or two coats of Penetrol, also providing added protection against weather damage.
