Pot Puller

I’m looking for a recreational level pot puller to mount on my 16" boat. Generally, i’m shrimping 1 pot per line in 250’ of water or crab in 100’. Looking at both the Brutus 40 and Powerwinch quick catch. I’ve seen reviews on the brutus that it might be underpowered, but I like the low profile of the quick catch.

To be honest, if you think the low profile will work for your application then The Powerwinch Pot Puller Quick Catch will be the better choice. It is faster, has more capacity and is compact in design. If you need a davit, then go with the brutus.

5 stars Overall Rating: 5 stars out of 5
Powerwinch's Pot Puller is a Great Product...

I give the Powerwinch Pot Puller 5 stars for performance…after 4 years I have to replace mine because the gasket between the two body halves leaked and saltwater corroded the motor. Easy fix, I will use marine sealer around the joint this time and make sure the screws remain tight.

I mounted my puller on the bow and use it to pull the anchor & pots.

Pot puller - quick catch

Do you have any more info on the above product. What will it pull? What does the whole unit cost. I am in Tasmania, Australia so I wonder how much the freight would be.

It will pull 200 lbs.
