ProBax is the only seat clinically proven to provide optimal long-term back and upper body support. This seat comes equipped with a patented base and back dual core foam support system only available thru Tempress. This Boat Captain's Seat is also water resistant and durable for prolonged use. ProBax is sewn with UV and abrasion-resistant polyester thread and covered in 30-oz. marine-grade vinyl to stand up to all the elements. Eight embedded mounting inserts will fit most slider systems any 5-1/4" mounting system when paired with the Elite Mounting Plate. If mounting to a standard swivel with 4 holes this seat requires a reinforcing plate. The Reinforcing plate can be purchased separately under part 57005.

NOTE: All Tempress Elite, Fisherman, and Captain's Seat should be mounted to a fore/aft slide 5" x 12" pedestal. If they are mounted to a 5" x 5" spider pedestal, then they MUST also use the Tempress reinforcement plate (57005). The 5" x 5" spider alone does not provide enough stability / surface coverage to properly support the seat and if mounted directly will void their warranty. Therefore, it cannot be mounted directly to our Elite, Fisherman, or Captain's Seat. There has been a warning on the seats about this for over a decade and an updated install sheet will help customers properly mount their seats for a safe boating experience.
