These Sea-Dogbrackets don't grip well and spin on rail.

These slip / rotate under pressure. Out of box these fit loosely on 7/8" rail with mating halves fully closed and tight. To try to fix I sanded close to 1/16" off one of the bracket mating services, but full tightened the pieces still did not grip. Roughened interior hole slightly with sandpaper to remove gloss but brackets still slipped. The nylon itself seems to be too slippery a formulation to grip well. Could be made to work to mount small items that are not under load, but no good for mounting BBQ or items subject to rotational pressure. The old Helm brackets (which look identical) held my BBQ firmly for 20 years, but these won't.

Answer:
The Sea-Dog Rial Mount Bracket for 78" & 1" round tubing come with the two #10-32 by 2-1/4" long bolts to secure them to your boat rails.
