engine stalls after 30min.
I have 1979 Sea Ray weekender 260hp
Last season we started to have problems get about 8 miles out and boat stalls. Changed coil and it ran but not well, changed to electronic ignition but did not use again until June this year. Ran for 30 min in marina 1500rpm stalled. I changed the fuel pump because I saw gas in the sight glass. The boat still stalled and now I am at loss, any suggestions? Submitted by: scott
Try running a wire directly from the battery to the+ side of the coil. If the problem is still there, get a new conversion kit.
