Dickinson Exhaust Cap Guard, 19-080A
The double exhaust Cap Guard protects the flue cap of the P9000 and P12000 heater from being stepped on or snagged on a rope or line.
These cap guards are available in both a shorter and taller version to fit over original short Deck Caps or the newer, taller Deck Caps.
In July 2014, Dickinson made the deck caps for their Newport Propane Heaters 3/8" taller, which meant that the Cap Guards and Weather Guards no longer fit. Dickinson has a newer series of these accessories to fit the taller Deck Cap. These taller cap guards have part numbers ending in “A”.
How do you know which one do you need? Simple! Measure the distance between the bottom of the two "bells" of your Deck Cap. If the distance between the bells is 1-5/8", you have the old style and need to purchase accessories that do NOT end with the letter A.
If the distance between the two bells is 2", you have the new, taller, version and will need to look for accessories ending in the letter A.
Normally, the A and non-A parts are not interchangeable. However in this rare case, the taller Exhaust Cap Guard (19-080A) works for both, as it will fit over either the short or tall Deck Cap.
