It was not so easy to mount because the mounting ears were too short. My mast has a special extrusion on the front. And also, I am afraid a halyard might take out the steaming light. A halyard could get beind it in a bad wind. I think the light I replaced by Aqua Signal was made better. I never did see if they had a newer LED model. But the older model had long ears for mounting and the steaming light is made in a way that it is impossible for anything to grab it. I replaced it because the deck light had corroded away.
