We have yet to install these so the rating is probably premature. The ones we were replacing had metal rims. They were aluminum looked very similar in shape and low profile. The aluminum has lasted but the ventilators themselves have discolored and got crusty over the years. I was told years ago you can paint them with white rust oleum which I did on my boat and after a good prep they looked like new. On mine I kept the aluminum base plates and painted them with zinc cromate. Fortunately this was before they were ourlawing a good aluminium primer. So, you want a rating pronto, ill give it a 4/5 for now.
